Searching for Australian future schools

In her lecture, Valerie Hannon drew on exemplars of remarkable international Future Schools which she discovered as part of a global scan we commissioned.

We are now turning attention to Australia to demonstrate to policy leaders and educational leaders that there are many transformational schools already in existence in Australia.If you teach or lead a future school, or know of one, we invite you to share the details with us at info@all-learning.org.au

The schools must be working in terms of an understanding of our changing world; reshaping their operations (time schedules, personnel) to enable agency or dynamic connection to the world and community; or putting the student at the centre.

By drawing on evidence of reshaping going on in Australia, we hope to further the national dialogue on why education transformation is needed and what a re-formed education system should look like.
