Next generation learning initiative

May 14, 2025

ALL, the Australian Secondary Principals’ Association (ASPA) and The University of Melbourne, have joined forces to create Next Generation Learning, a new program empowering public high schools to redefine student success and boost student engagement.

They are inviting Australian public secondary schools to participate in the evidence-based initiative: Next-Generation Learning. Expressions of interest are sought from principals in local or regional clusters of Australian public secondary schools to participate along with their students in Years 7-10.

By participating, schools will:

  • Develop Learner Profiles that celebrate students’ diverse capabilities beyond traditional metrics.
  • Implement cutting-edge tools for next-generation assessment and reporting practices.
  • Enhance staff expertise in designing and assessing crucial learning capabilities.
  • Access professional development through two face-to-face and two online sessions annually.

Expressions of interest close 30 May.
