Education for human flourishing

The High Performing Systems for Tomorrow (HPST) project was established in 2018 for jurisdictions that achieve outstanding results in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), and which share a commitment to exploring the next frontiers in education, for their own countries and the world. A key outcome of these dialogues, encapsulated in a series of OECD papers, was new thinking on the purposes of education. Broadly, countries concluded that education in the 21st century should support the concept of human flourishing.
