Nu Vu

In this video, Saba Ghole, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of NuVU Studio, talks about starting a school based on the principles of creative learning. The model they chose was the architecture school model, which is focused on allowing young people to really tap into their creative potential, provide a framework for learning, which was hands on, and interdisciplinary. The founders realised that while there is no ideal student, each student needs to learn the skills that that would enable them to be successful in the future.

“One of the things that sometimes ends up being a big constraint is schedule scheduling. From the start, we decided that we were going to eliminate this whole idea of one-hour courses. The other part of our thinking was to eliminate traditional grades and testing, and rethinking the assessment model from completely from scratch.

Our students leave NuVu with a sense of purpose and wanting to impact positively the world around them.”
