Exploring passion-led learning – new resources

A recent Conversation Australia + NZ article revealed that too many Year 9 students are missing school, and asked what parents and teachers could do to keep them engaged.

The answer was to focus on the students’ passions rather than the problems missing school and making learning more engaging.

Australian Learning Lecture has partnered with Cool.org to develop free Passion-Led Learning resources that support teachers in understanding, designing and implementing passion-led learning.

The resources include three lessons and three professional learning courses aligned with educational priorities like personalised learning, fostering agency, critical thinking and promoting resilience.

The lessons have been customised to suit working on passion projects with an individual student, a group of students, or even a whole class. Each lesson is designed as a learning journey over an extended period of time, each one using the Passion Profile from The Passion Toolkit.
